The General Partner is Wine Growth Fund GP S.à r.l., a private limited liability company ( société à responsabilité limitée ) incorporated under the laws of Luxembourg on 14 July 2010. The General Partner is fully and exclusively responsible for the performance of the overall investment policy and objectives, management and administration of the Fund (and the Sub-funds). The General Partner manages the assets of the Fund and the Sub-funds in compliance with the Articles and the provisions of this Offering Memorandum for the sole benefit, and in the best interest, of the Shareholders.

The board of managers of the General Partner (the " Board ") is currently comprised of the following members:
 

Henning Thoresen
Manager, Wine Growth Fund GP S.à r.l.


Mr. Thoresen is President & CEO of Bordeaux Winebank and is one of the most respected and well connected people in the Bordeaux wine industry. He has more than 20 years of professional wine experience, wine portfolio structuring and wine investment management experience. As one of the pioneers of provenance in top wines from Bordeaux, Mr. Thoresen created and patented the term “Five Star Provenance” in 2009.

Mr. Thoresen has developed a proprietary structured system for analysing, tracking and performance of Investment Grade Wines. This system is a key part of the Wine Growth Fund's investment process.

Mr. Thoresen is one of the select few who have been presented the title of “ Commandeur d' Honneur ” by the Commanderie du Bontemps de Medoc et Graves – Sauternes et Barsac in Bordeaux, France and plays the role of ambassador all the world over for the great wines of Bordeaux, France.


Daniel Burra
Manager, Wine Growth Fund GP S.à r.l.


Mr. Burra is a highly respected Bordeaux businessman and has for the past 32 years assisted Châteaux and wine merchants in Bordeaux with legal, fiscal, financial and accounting services. Mr. Burra is currently a partner of the Bordeaux based accounting firm Cogefa.

For the last 6 years, Mr. Burra has been an active contributor to various forums and study groups organised by "Great Wine Capitals - Global Wine Network". Mr. Burra is experienced with the wine markets in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Australia, USA and South Africa where he has performed detailed research on these markets and has studied the differences between each major wine region and acquired a valuable global wine knowledge. Mr. Burra graduated from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Pau business school (1971-1976).


Marc Lefebvre
Manager, Wine Growth Fund GP S.à r.l.


Mr Lefebvre is an authorised independent director and conducting person for third party clients to meet the substance and UCITS III requirements in Luxembourg and created early 2009 his consulting company with a specific focus on the asset management sector.

He previously headed the investment management activities of a nordic bank in Luxembourg. His primary focus was the implementation of a structured, robust and efficient asset management platform to support the bank's development plan. He was also responsible of the product development in Luxembourg from the analysis of the available vehicles to the implementation of these. He was a member of the board of their UCITS III management company in charge of the oversight of control and governance duties for the investment funds.

Mr Lefebvre gained his first experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers Luxembourg where he was in charge of the audit of investment funds. He also supervised the preparation of SAS 70 reports (report on the control environment) for some of the biggest providers of fund administration and custodian services in Luxembourg.

He holds a “Degree in Finance” and a “Degree in Economics” from HEC Belgium. He is also a certified “Fund Specialist” as well as a certified “Compliance Officer” from the Institut de Formation Bancaire Luxembourg ("IFBL") with 10 years of experience in the financial sector in Luxembourg.
